Midway through this year’s Cannes film festival, A-listers will take a break from the red carpets to attend amfAR’s annual Cinema Against AIDS benefit at the glamorous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera. The highlight will be the Ultimate Gold Collection Fashion Show, an all-gold runway presentation curated by Carine Roitfeld. It will feature 40 models (including “It” girl Karlie Kloss and Daria Strokous, one of the faces of the current Christian Dior ad campaign) in one-of-a-kind gowns by the likes of Comme des Garcons, Alexander Wang, Giorgio Armani and Valentino, which will be auctioned after the show. They’ll be wearing bespoke jewelry made from the precious metal, commissioned by Roitfeld, including the cuffs seen above by the chic, celebrity-endorsed designers (from left) Kimberly McDonald, Hoorsenbuhs and Ana Khouri. The pieces will subsequently be made to order at LoveGold, an online community dedicated to gold jewelry. The site, in its first year as a presenting sponsor for the gala, will live stream exclusive footage of the catwalk on May 23.
